What does Hydrophobic mean and why is it important?
Hydrophobic translates as: Hydro ? water, Phobic ? hating, aversion to, repellent. So a material which is classed as hydrophobic is water repellent and has the ability to prevent water ingress on a substrate to which it is applied.
